End of wk 4 looking forward...

I ve just completed week 4 which was ok and I m really pleased with my self. Looking forward to wk 5 I know I can do the first and second runs but that 3rd one, that's going to take a strong mental attitude. I got to week 5 last time I did the 20 min run and found it really hard and then just gave up so slightly concerned about it

You can do it!..we believe you can do it...don't listen to those gremlins, they know nothing! Seriously, this is the part of the programme where you really find out that running is as much a mental challenge as a physical one. Believe in the programme and be mentally strong and relentlessly positive! Good luck☺

We all felt like that about the infamous run but we're here to tell the tale. You are spot on when you say you'll need a strong mental attitude. That's what this run is all about. Your legs and body will be ready just make sure your head is in the right place too. Don't overthink it, run very, very slowly, enjoy every minute and then come on here and proudly boast about how epic you feel.

Ive finished week 4 this morning too! My 20 minute run will be Thursday which happens to be the day I'm doing a 3k Race for Life, so my plan is to combine the two! I've just treated myself to a running album on iTunes for the event.

Good luck to you!

Slow and steady, is the way,as Irishprincess says. It can be tempting to push yourself too far too soon.. You are doing brilliantly!

You have confidence in yourself... follow your own path, no-one else's, at your own pace... that way you can enjoy the journey. :)

You will be fine as long as you start out slowly and plod along at a (semi!) comfortable pace. We've all felt exactly the same. Good luck!
