Finished work early today and arrived home to find that my new running gear arrived in the post!!
I have never been this excited about packages before and felt quite giddy looking at these little parcels which contained new gear!!
This time last year I was getting excited about the latest chocolate that had come out in the shops but now itβs all about the gear!!
I ripped open the bags and found new shirts, my running hat, new trousers and a sports top especially for the ladies!! I couldnβt wait to get them on and get running!!
5 minutes later I had donned the new ladies top and shirt but not the new trousers as it was too warm for full length trousers, and I headed out the door.
7 minute warm up and off I went. Just me. Running. Alone. Thinking. Enjoying. Relaxing. Contemplating. Singing.
Todayβs run was tinged with a little sadness as a friend on this forum is going through a tough time, so today I ran for you Mummycav , in the hope that you can grab some of the love that Iβm sending you.
Never take your loved ones for granted, hug them, laugh with them, cry with them, discover things together but above all, tell them you love them every bloody chance you get πππ
This one is for all the people who have loved and lost loved ones ππ

Looks fab Kim, you're set to go now with your new gear. It is lovely having new, stuff, as I well and truly know, haha. Think I have about 15 tops, though 5 aren't really much cop, but still.
It's lovely to run in something different, makes my run worth while.
Way to go Kim, get out there and show off to the world ππ
Lovely looking running gear. Where did you buy it from Kim and also would that be Brampton outside Carlisle ? If so my husband and I lived there some years ago.
A great post on so many levels! Well done on the gear and the run and couldn't agree more with the rest.
My in-laws live near junction 1 of the A14 so my long treck from Beccles takes me past Brampton, I'll crane my neck next time I whizz past that way and see if I can spot a smiley runner in tip top gear! ;0)
Lovely post Kim, I can imagine your excitement opening up the parcels and then wanting to get out out running in the new gear.....sort of reminds me of a kid getting a new bike at Xmas π
I can relate to the end of your post π’
That was a excellent time you did on your run π³
Take care and keep running πββοΈπββοΈ
