Went out for an extremely chilly run this morning and ended up wearing a zip-up cotton hoody the entire time - definitely not ideal as it was a bit sweaty by the end! Legs are getting a bit chilly in my knee-length running trews too. The boyf was looking very cold in his little shorts!
Don't have a lot of funds at the moment so I wondered if anyone has found any good places for cheap, decent running gear. Does Primark have a sports section? Any other good places to try? I could do with some long trousers/tights and something long-sleeved, maybe a jacket?
Aldi had some good running gear including jackets, gloves and compression wear last week .I was in my local store yesterday and they still had quite a bit of stock
Hmm, I don't live near an Aldi unfortunately. We have a Lidl but I was in there at the weekend and they didn't have anything
Been looking on there. They have a shop fairly close to me but I went in and it's awful. A load of stuff but lots hung high up where you can't reach and it's not well ordered so that you can find all the running gear together. Seemed to be mostly 'fashion' sports wear.
Online looks different but I'm not sure descriptions are always comprehensive. Anyone know if the karrimor stuff is good... descriptions don't say fabric in wicking. Also considering capris for cooler weather but am more concerned about getting too hot than starting out chilly.
I've just bought a pair of Karrimor long leggings for £10.99 which are great - cool and warm at the same time, if that makes sense. I also bought a long-sleeved Karrimor top but haven't tried this yet. I would definitely recommend the leggings.
I'm a chunky size 18 and they are fine. The top fits fine as well - I just meant I hadn't run in it yet. I bought Lidl's Lycra capris in the summer and went for a L-XL, and they have been great - they're just a bit chilly round the ankles at this time of year!
I didn't even go to Aldi because the sizes looked small.
