Hello peeps... did W2R3 today and felt way better than W2R1. Feeling ready for W3 now

My question is now about distance. I didn’t track distance until today as I just wanted to keep moving as my coach Jo says. I tracked today and I did 2km for my W2R3. How does that compare with average?

Given I am not feeling out of puff etc, should I try to increase the distance and run faster or keep it nice n gentle for a few more weeks?

You are doing brilliantly! Week 2 is not treating me so kindly. I am doing about 4.2km but the programme ends a while before my destination so I then have 15 mins of walking. I think your 2km sounds about average but I’d say don’t worry about distance and keep it nice and gentle for quite a while. I was reading that article posted here that said your muscles and shins etc are always three weeks behind your cardio progress, so you could cause yourself injury if you get overexcited and try to run further. And the running time will increase so I’d say go steady.

Just run... that is all.. run comfortably and enjoy!

Never compare with anyone... this is your journey... to get to the 30 minute runs, injury free and having had fun :)

Keep it slow and keep it steady...there is a way to go yet... and remember

Woohoo! I just completed Week 2 this morning as well. I am not sure how far it is; mapometer.com tells me that I'm running about 3.75km but I am not sure I believe that, it doesn't feel that far!

Like you @ranalite I found W2R3 much easier than W2R1; I was practically dying after my run last Sunday but today I feel fine :)
