W5R3 conquering my fear

Completed the third run of week 5 today. I was dreading doing this run and was afraid I wasn’t ready for it. However, once I got going there was no stopping me. I even felt like I could have carried on at the end. I haven’t run that long continuously since I was a teenager (I’m 40 now). I conquered my fear and am feeling so much more confident about completing the course.

Well done Dave !

Youre not the first and certainly wont be the last who was apphrensive about this run . I had a couple of sleepless nights before I did mine ! :-) I was certain it mustve been a mistake .

I think this is such a major milestone in the programme and once achieved , you really start to believe in yourself .

Keep going, youre doing great ! :-) xxx

Thanks Poppy. Yes, it certainly is a big milestone. It’s not far off the end goal.

I’ve found this group to be a huge motivator for me.

No doubt about it - you're going to complete this programme and then run and run and run.

Well done! - I'm doing my W5R2 tonight and hoping that on Wednesday it'll be the big one - W5R3. So great to hear that you have managed it and with something still left in the tank. Makes me feel very encouraged (and slightly less scared) - so thank you!
