A FLEETING 15 MINUTES

Hey there,

Tonight wasn't the night for me haha, but an enjoyable run, nevertheless.

I had intentions of coming straight home from work and not see my Mum this evening. I got changed, grabbed my earphones, phone pouch and set off out. I like to walk from my location before starting any running app, so I got further down the road and thought I'd start from there and see how I do before it got dark.

Tried to pair my earphones with my phone they came on, but were flashing red and blue, so I guessed they were flat as no sound came from them. Damn and blast I thought. I was at least 10 mins trying, as I couldn't work out why they wouldn't work. Then I bump into a neighbour, elderly gent, walking his dog. So he was talking to me for a few minutes. He asked me, "going for a run again then?" I gave him a smile and nearly said, nah, I'm off fishing, haha, I just had that funny haha mood on me. Aww, he's a lovely man, when it's good weather, we have a chat sometimes on the wall in my garden.

Anyway, I wanted to get going due to the nights drawing in, but it was starting to get dark by now, so I set off, a quick walk and then into my run. I had a stitch 5 minutes in to it, but kept going. I actually could have gone on further tonight, typical, eh? But I ran for 15 minutes without a break, just miffed that the nights are drawing in now. But on the positive side, I did 15 minutes continuous running, shorter than what I've become used to, but I guess it is better than being stuck in the house for 15 minutes doing nothing. Not that I'm ever bored or with out anything to do. It just doesn't seem long to class it as a proper run.

My pace on fitbit was 13 something, so how can this Samsung Health be 7?

But, hey ho, I stuck to my guns and went out. 😊 Glad to be back here though xx

Thanks chick, the trouble us though is that I seem to regulate my breathing from 15 mins onward, but never mind, just didn't want to run in the dark as I have no reflective gear. That's my next thing to buy, haha xx

Hey the main thing is you still got out there and brightened up your neighbour’s day too!

Haha, that's true Decker, thanks. Not nice without music on though, as I can hear me panting more πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Well I ran this morning, so slowly... but really enjoyed it..Cold, but very, very sunny... I was doing the Speed podcast,, and went slower than I usually run! Mind, a muddy field did not help! A bad choice of end for the route!

Thanks KoKo, these gadgets are odd on times, but you're right about the time, it is what it is. Thank you 😊

Good run! Are both your gadgets counting miles or kpm?

Thanks Millsie... They're on miles, but I'll double check just in case. Thanks for that 😊

Hey well done, you got out there and you ran, so many people are still on the proverbial couch :-) oh and red/blue flashing normally means you've pressed the power button too long and it's gone into pairing mode again. The old IT fix should work: turn it off and on again lol!

Ooh, does it, thank you anyway. I have since charged them soi think it may have been a mixture if being flat and like you said, pressing that button. Soon see when I try them next. Yes, at least we're getting off that couch and running. Something I should do now. As I'm sat on the couch haha. πŸ‘πŸ‘
