Hi everyone...Am so chuffed that I had to share this with you all nice encouraging people out there...!!!
I ran for 5 kms today with a 20 sec walk at about 4.7 kms. It took me 34 min 21 secs to finish it. I am just happy that I could run for 5K and am ready for a 5K race I have signed up for!!!

We are all different and some find it very difficult to get to that mark. Besides, this is not about hitting 5K in 30 mins - this is about running for 30 minutes continuously. Marked difference that could spare you from injury misery.
To be honest you are unlikely to knock four minutes off your time on the next run. 5k in 30 mins is a pretty arbitrary target and it will still be there post graduation. However, if you did parkrun then I reckon that you will hit that target version soon.
5K in 30 mins was my target for the race which is in 30 days from now...However, even that seems unlikely. and that is ok...I will still be very happy to just finish and carry on running on regular basis....
No park runs around me...(am in India for a couple of years...) missing UK so much!!!
