Week 4 Run 2 done, but why are the middle runs always so hard?

After completing run 1 of week 4 reasonably comfortably a couple of days ago I literally had to drag myself around this morning and for some reason I always find the middle run tough, no idea why. Anyhow got through it, 11 runs down, 16 to go!!! 😁😁

I remember experiencing that too. I always put it down to appropriate caution for R1, followed by being too cocky on R2, because I knew I could do it, so going too fast and finally with R3, some learned respect alongside the improved fitness made it the most enjoyable of each week.

Keep plugging away. Each run is building your running body and stamina.

It could be that though I wasn't aware of setting off quicker, definitely plugging away!!!

Maybe it is what IannodaTruffe suggests...just keep it steady and slow:)
