Completed last run today. And personal best 4.4km in 30 minutes. I’m 61 and hadn’t run since I was 16 at school. Trust me if I can do anyone can.

Many thanks to Michael Johnson - always calm and reassuring. Also, the many posters and advice on this site. 9 weeks ago I wasn’t sure I’d see it through but the plan really does work. I never stopped or gave up once though I often felt like it.

It felt so hot today and the midges and flies on the country lanes felt like a plague at times. I really appreciate the breezy days now. My next goal is to run 5km in 30 minutes. Then I’ll think about longer distances. Think if I can loose more weight that goal should be doable- maybe a haircut should knock a few kilo off.

Thank you. Yes I’m going to keep playing the app whilst I improve my distance of 30 minutes. Michael Johnson is just so calm and reassuring and as a world champion, gold medalist and former record holder you have to respect what he says. Best wishes and good luck with the rest of programme. I sure you’ll be there very soon.
