It’s the first time I’ve had to quit the run since starting Couch to 5K and it doesn’t feel good. I easily ran 25 minutes last Saturday but today I could only run 8 minutes before failing epically.
I have a feeling it has something to do with a mad week at school and not getting to bed until 1am due marking / next term prep. Anyway, I won’t do another run unless I get enough sleep.
On the plus side, I walked for one mile and then ran again for 13 minutes. I guess that’s extra calories burnt off.
Well done, it sounds like you've had a mad week!! We all have bad runs, and it's sounds like the learning you've gained is priceless... you would not have got that if all went smoothly. It's all part of the journey 😎
I had a mile run on Thursday with my class during PE. Apart from that, last Saturday was the last time I ran. I simply can't fit it in. Too much on but I've got a week off now.
Teacher stuff really gets in the way of running doesn't it? I've started planning my running around the 'peaks' of work I know are coming up. I decide in advance when I'll run and then stick to it. It sometimes means extra rest days between runs but does make sure I get through 3 runs in a week.
Sounds like you didn't give up - so I think epic fail is a bit harsh!
