Feeling epic for completing this but there's part of me that doesn't really believe I've done it!

Does anyone else have a problem with breathing evenly? I breath out much more than I breath in. Is this normal?

Well done! I found the breathing hard at times but realised it was only when I was thinking about it. I now just concentrate on the music I’m listening to and don’t have a problem anymore.

As long as you breathe in and out you're doing fine.

I find that its when you try to concentrate on it too much rather than just doing it naturally that it becomes complicated.

Try and focus on the things around you as you run and the body will just take care of the breathing.

And well done for completing week 6. Quick rest day then on to week 7

Hi there, and well done! I always have trouble with breathing, being an ex smoker with asthma, and the one thing I've found helps is posture: keep your head high and your shoulders loose, open up that chest to take the air in!

Best of luck and keep at it!

Thank you, yes I'll try that. I've frozen shoulders so conscious of not relaxing them enough

I have one frozen shoulder too NMDR, it must be rotten having them both stiff and painful...😐

Well done for still doing the program, breathing starts to really fall into place from Wk 6 onwards. I used to blow out a couple of long breaths if my chest was getting tight.

Start slowly while your body takes on the oxygen it needs for running and ease into it..

Good luck😊x

Thanks jan-now-runs. They are both old injuries so nothing to difficult to deal with. Good luck with your training too!

I make a lot of noise..but you breathe just the way you breathe.. do not worry about it:)

Well done you.. as the runs get longer, you will enjoy them so much, you won't think about it..start slow.. relax into them, let the new running legs carry you and find your happy pace... Brilliant. Slow and steady as you go :)
