Week 7 Run 1 - Much easier .. surprisingly!

Well I checked the BBC Weather App last night and weather looked great, checked on getting up ... heavy rain ... looked outside ok! Fair enough ... off I go.

Did a lot of walking over the weekend and legs were still a little stiff but with the words from another post about the 1st 10 minutes being the hardest I trudged off. Keeping it extra slow and steady the 1st 10 minutes was better than expected and I moved on to the remaining 15 mins. Could not believe it when I got to 20 minutes and was feeling good so when I finished the full 25 minutes and felt I could keep going that was a bonus ... but I didn't!

Today was my first run wearing my new florescent yellow waterproof top and it was barely needed ... great start to the week finishing the run with a beautiful skyline filled with sun ... for all you runners and trudgers out there keep going slow and steady to the finish line.

Great post, hehe it is always the more prepared you are the less you need 😀 Good for you on the slow and steady, it really is the way to go.
