Did my first ever park run (walk/run 40:33) this Saturday and my calves and thighs are feeling it, had a rest today but not sure whether to try to run tomorrow or give it an extra day rest as I’ve never done a full 5K before-what would you folks do? What day to run-mon or tue?
(Haven’t yet done week 9 of C25K so maybe I should do that on tread which is my normal way, instead of outdoor run?)
Have problems with fibromyalgia pain so don’t want to push it but do want to achieve 😬

I'd opt for an extra rest day after a big run. Better to take an extra day off than to push past and hurt yourself. Maybe you could do a nice walk or a cycle instead?
Thanks runswithdogs-i do Yoga on Mondays anyway so maybe just a nice stretching day would be good, just didn't want to "let it all slip" its took me forever to pluck up the courage to run at all and so am quite proud that I've done it. Just aware that pacing and spacing is important x
You know your body and your condition better than anyone else so it is difficult to advise on that basis, however it is a fact that injury comes about by some part of the body being asked to do more than it is either used to doing or something it is not designed to do.
The extra rest day is the conservative route to take. You don't want to risk injury at this stage.
The next run will be waiting impatiently for you on Tuesday and you will be more refreshed and less likely to do yourself any harm.
