I was scared of started and community advise me just to get out there and do something - which was great advice. Except my body had other ideas and the very next day when I had planned to start, I went down with bronchitis and it has taken a few weeks for me to feel back to normal.
So, albeit a few weeks later, I have started now and have completed Week 1. Run 1 felt awful. Running just felt weird. Run 2 was better and by run 3, I almost enjoyed it, but maybe that was because I was so chuffed with myself for doing it. Yes I do know it was only week 1! But it felt great to be taking some positive steps to improving my health and hopefully losing some weight. And the real achievement at this stage is just getting out of the door and not being put off by work, family, anything and everything!

Hi there... Congratulations on making a start. The hardest part is definitely making that effort. Week one is a shock to your system but you know what.... in a very short space of time you'll be amazed at how much fitter you're becoming. I wish you well with your future runs and welcome to the couchto5k family.x
Well done runforme, only on week 2 myself and know the feeling of running feeling weird for the first couple of days, excellent that you have completed week one and feeling positive about it, keep up the good work 👍🏃👍
Well done👏 great advice and support on here from people who know what they are talking about. Stay strong and enjoy the journey.
Sorry to hear you have been poorly.... Well done for getting off the couch. Yes it is weird to be doing a new activity and your body will take a while to catch up with the decision that your brain made. However you have started a great journey and I hope that you will enjoy it.
Well done for starting C25k. You should be pleased with yourself. I know I'm feeling better already for getting out there and doing it. Good luck with the rest of the programme 😀
Hello, my first run today and like you it took me quite a while to just go out of the door. Running doesn’t come naturally to me but I guess we all have to start somewhere. I don’t take myself too seriously and just as well really because my warm up walk managed to take me to exactly where the local hooded youths were lining my planned running track- no snickers heard but then women of my age are invisible ... I wondered why the first minute seemed so long when I found my headphones were unconnected! Hasn’t put me off trying the next run though so I hope your running journey is successful
