At the moment I run in yoga trousers, a short sleeved tshirt and a running jacket but it’s getting colder now so I’m thinking of buying a long sleeved top and different trousers. Have seen fleecey lined running trousers etc but wondered if anyone had any thoughts or recommendations please?

I wear my normal leggings unless really, really cold, then wear my Rab... winter weight..

They are pricey... but watch for bargains... and they are warm!

When it gets very cold I use merino wool tops and leggings under my normal running stuff. Icebreaker do a good range, you would only need the lightest of their weights (it's a bit pricey, but wears and washes well).

I think I must be a different temperature as I am still in shorts and t-shirt! I haven't done full on winter running yet as I started in early March when I was wearing shorts but just layering up on my top. I do have a merino wool running jacket (a Birthday present) for when it gets really cold along with some gore running gloves. Get a buff too - I cycle throughout the winter and good gloves and a buff are a must along with lots of thin layers.

Still relatively mild here, though my route gets full of fallen leaves and when they get wet it is worse than ice.
I heard that you should dress for a run 15 degrees higher than the actual temperature - so it it is 1 degree - wear something appropriate for running in 16 degrees
