Well, having procrastinated for weeks (possibly even months) I finally got off my backside and got started. So far so good, it didn't hurt too badly!

Yay well done, I know how hard getting out and doing the first run is, as do all of us on here, but you've done it now and I'm sure you'll be bitten by the bug any day now..... just remember to keep hydrated, take it slow and steady, stretch after your runs and ALWAYS take at least one rest day between runs and you'll be graduating before you know it. Good luck and keep posting so we can see how you get on.
