I always knew today was my last run of week 2 and had to be done. But the day seemed to belong to everyone else and not me. Lifts given to my children, cries of 'can you help my declutter my room mum?' 'Mum my dance competition is tonight and you have to go.' I sat forlornly in my garden and wondered where on earth I was going to get the time to do my run. And then I found inspiration. My youngest daughters dance competition was being held in a large secondary school and I knew it had a sports ground. On went my running gear under my coat and off we went. Daughter back stage absorbed in doing her makeup and hair. "Back soon" I say casually as I whip out the door. Laps done around the rugby pitch (I'm in New Zealand so its mostly rugby not footie here) and back to daughter without a hitch. My daughter may have done well tonight in her dance but I think I was the real winner.
