Ok so further to my last post regarding shin splints yesterday I replaced my old running shoes and the pain has all but disappeared. Thanks to everyone for the advice. This run was a little bit easier but it was helped by adding on an extra few metres and running the last bit down hill then doing my cool down walk back up it!!! Looking forward to my last wk2 tomorrow but nervous about starting wk3 next Saturday.. ..

Well done on progress but do not be nervous, you can do it.
Each run prepares you for the next one and a positive attitude will carry you through triumphantly to graduation.

No need for nerves, take it gently and just relax into it... you will be fine
