So I am meant to be doing run 2 of week 9 today. But my whole body is stiff. I have had 2 rest days and trying some stretches, but nothing seems to be working. It is also throwing it down!! 2 hours until my planned run so fingers crossed this all improves.

Warming up is the thing that gets out the stiffness. Try doing a very brisk walk before your run!
In addition to the 5 minute warm up?
No, I was thinking of making the warm up walk specially brisk, I suppose.
Ooh MrsT - not sure what to suggest because generally this site says stretch after running but not before. What about walking around the house up and down the stairs a bit to see if your muscles loosen up a bit? You don't want to do too much in case you overcook it for your run. Do you feel okay generally though other than 'stiff' - am wondering if you've picked up another pesky bug...
