So the weather was getting more and more dreary as the day went on. I knew I would definitely go out, it's Scotland after all, you can't let the weather stop you doing stuff! But once I was out there, I found a new rhythm. Can't believe I did 2 runs of 8 minutes each. (2nd one is all up hill too....!)
I've become somebody I never thought I would, I actually enjoy running.
And I've also discovered that the best music is anything by Sia. The rhythm works, and her songs seem to focus on physicality, perseverance, and, most importantly, self belief...... πππ

Me too -W5r2 ! Me too -somewhat perplexed as to how on earth I can now run for 8 mins . . twice! I too have a hilly route (its norfolk but dont let anyone tell you it flat ! I wish) . The other day the middle of my run was down hill for a few minutes - what a joy thst was - positively bounced alone with gay abandon - thinking thought of ' if I keep practicing perhaps running on the flat will feel as fab as this! Happy running - 20 mins tomorrow
Thank you Im just back from the BIG 20!!! I actually ran the whole time ! It seemed like such a big steep up from 8 mins and definitely was mentally , but oddly not physically. God-speed to you tomorrow - what time of day do you run?
Wow! Congratulations!! ππ. Normally I run at about 4.45 just as the kids get home (in case the school bus goes by, I like to be sure that it's well and truly gone!). So watch this space!
