Signing in to put it in writing that I completed the first run of the final week, to remind myself as much as anything, in case I doubt myself!
It was tough, but my own darned silly fault. Needed to get it done and keep the momentum going. Also ‘used’ the run to loosen up as I was daft enough to take a fall off my daughter’s pony last night (feel free to laugh) so I feel bruised, old and creaky today. I was only warming the blighter up for her, then I sensed this silly thought occur to him as we went into trot, that it might be fun to take off with mummy as she’s a soft touch. Should’ve remembered that he is twice as fit as he used to be, after a summer of eventing with DD. Certainly not the sweet little chap I could plod round on quite happily - racing round an xc course is more his thing these days...
So l decided to forego my beloved rest day to prevent the old frame stiffening up completely and potentially ruining my glorious final week! Which to be fair, worked wonderful for my frame and belief that I’m not about to fall apart. The time was disappointing because it was so very slow, but I’ll take that.
Week 9 has begun, albeit rather unceremoniously, but it’s great to be here! Would never have made it without you all 😁
