Hi all, I've just completed W1R3 and I guess I've signed up here for motivation, tips etc!

I definitely found the third run today easier than the first two, but I'm feeling a bit nervous about week two!

Well done for getting started and completing week 1 :D

Just go for week 2 - and see what happens. If you have a run which doesn't quite go according to the plan, think of it as just a rehearsal for the next time! Keep posting on here - there are loads of folks that will give you advice and encouragement!

Welcome to your support network.

Well done on getting the first week out of the way.

Don't be nervous or fear any run. It is just a workout in a training plan that is impossible to fail, unless you retreat permanently to the couch. Relish the challenge of each run with positivity. If you can't complete, then you just repeat it until completion, then move on.

Running is a hugely psychological thing. If you don't believe you can achieve the target, then you are destined to fall short. With belief all boundaries are removed and you can do things beyond your imagination. If someone had said this to me before I started running, I would have considered it to be psycho babble........now, I am a believer.

Well done for completing week1, i finished week 1 on friday and start week2 tomorrow morning

Thanks everyone - I've been made to feel really welcome in the forum already!

The second week is what it is and amongst the nerves is excitement! Thanks for all of the advise so far 😊

I am now in week 3. After week 1 I did consider doing it again. So glad that I didn't. The 90s actually seemed a lot shorter than the 60s did and I was really surprised that I got through it so well. Still a struggle but worth it. Don't worry about the next one just go for it.

Hello and welcome :-) and huge congratulations for completing week 1. I'm only towards the end of week 3 myself, but believe me, you've already done the hard part, overcoming the mental barriers. From a relative noob's point of view, have faith in the programme, it's good, and certainly seems to be working for me so far.

If you struggle don't beat yourself up, and if you do well, don't be tempted to do more, you'll just tire yourself out. And don't try to go too fast. If you find yourself running out of steam, lower the pace and do your best to complete the running segment.

If I can do it, I bet you can :-) all the best, and do come back and tell us all about it!
