Hi, just started week two tonight and thought I'd see how other people were finding it. Personally I'm looking forward to getting out for each session, although, it was tough tonight with the heavy rain starting at the end of the warm up and not stopping until the warm down. Oh well.

Well done you, that's four runs a completed ...

Just done my W2R1 tonight, was a bit tougher than W1, but as I've said in my own post, I'm starting to enjoy it, weather doesn't affect my runs, I run in doors, and you're not a newbie any more, four runs under your belt .... 👍🏼

Good luck with the rest of the program, perhaps we could encourage each other, looks like we are in the same schedule ... every other day, my next ru. Is Wednesday...

Cheers cobblers, encouragement sounds good. How are you finding the breathing? I tried counting breaths in and out but found it harder.

Yea I know what you mean, two steps for in and two steps for out turns into Panting, for me, so I'm trying to slow the breathing down to three steps in and three steps out ...

Yeah, going to start working on that on Wednesday I think, as well as getting a half decent pair of shoes, hopping it'll help with the knees. Wanted to give it a week to try and rule out giving up but fear I could be hooked.

Good shoes will definitely help the knees but get them properly fitted after a gait analysis to make sure you get the right sort for your feet.

Don't worry about the breathing. In followed by out is the only hard and fast rule and as long as you haven't turned blue and fallen over you are breathing just fine.

You will find, as the innocent seeming programme works it insidious magic, that you will not let anything get between you and your run.

Welcome to a changed life.

I can see that happening, it's taking will power to take the rest days over the past week at least.

Welcome and very well done you:) As for the rain... well?

As my husband used to tell me..it is just wet...( this was when he was in bed with a cup of tea, as I set out).

Keep it slow and steady as you go:)
