W7 R1 - Again! But Oh My Goodness!

Wow!! What a difference! I wrote last week about my inability to do week 7 without stopping because of breathlessness, and thankfully rolysmate and Oldfloss gave me some really great advice - to slow down. And, boy, did it work.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I decided to do week 7 again, and ran soooooo slowly, following the advice of small baby steps, slow and steady, barely a footprint distance apart.

And - oh my goodness, Sanjeev came on and said, 'Well done, five minutes'. FIVE minutes, seriously?? Already?? Usually, I am ready to die at this point, completely out of breath. This time - hey - no problem.

I jogged for the whole 25 minutes. I RAN, really RAN for the last minute. And instead of dragging myself along for the last walk, I walked briskly.

THANK YOU for the advice guys. Thank goodness I found this forum. Roll on Wednesday. x

Yep, that is exactly what I have been doing! How do you manage hills? How does anyone manage hills?😜I do struggle with hills, but I can do my 25 minutes no bother now. Is it to do with age?(64)😣

I would also like to know how anyone manages hills! I think I am leaving anything harder than short gentle inclines until after I complete the c25K. I very much doubt it's age-related..!

Thank you so much to everyone who takes the time to reply. Really appreciated! Enricakita - no hills for me. I run along the Thames, so totally flat. I think I need to just manage that before I even think about hills! And I'm 62, ain't life grand...........well, it is this morning - I managed the run. Wahey!
