Not run for a few days. Missed my Park run yesterday but I was learning to make cheese. So 7.30 this morning I set out and there was a real chill in the air. Was glad I had bought new slightly longer leggings but I am going to need long sleeve tops before long. This is a new experience as for most of my C25k journey my main concern was heat stroke.
Today's most interesting wildlife was squirrels but the birdsong was lovely and made me glad I wasn't listening to podcasts.
Yes, I also noticed it yesterday when I went for my first run back home after my holiday. It was really sunny but it was a 'mellow' sunny, didn't feel hot at all. Only a couple of weeks ago it would have been a completely different story. Love autumn but not looking forward to the shorter days - I'll have to change my route and start running in town to avoid running in the dark!
I love that first sentence ... what a brilliant reason for not doing a park run! It's definitely getting cooler in the mornings and the heavy dew soaks right through my trainers on grass now. But it has a kind of 'good to be alive' feel to it, I love this time of year.
Loved the cheese making. If you are near London I would recommend Wildes cheese one day course. Not cheap - mine was a present. Several runners on the course all saying how we would need to run to burn off the calories of all the cheese tasting we did.
