agonizing pain in my calves every time i run for 10 min or more

i pull my calf muscles every time i run or walk for a long time i cant even be on the treadmill for more than 10min i am facing this problem for the last 4-5 months since i started working out.After a rest of 15-20 min my calves dont ache as much as they used to ,but if i start running again there is so much of pain,especially to the sides of my legs. can anyone please help me

Have you tried a foam roller? It made a big difference for me. It feels very painful at first and isn't the nicest thing to do, but stick with it and the tension in your calf eventually melts away. You can get them on amazon for £10-15.

Maybe warm up a bit more and lots of stretching and rolling to get rid of those knotted muscles...try slowing right down and try also to land lightly.

Make sure you are well hydrated and that you do extra strength and flex maybe on rest days:)

Calf raises x30 before running don't forget your hamstrings and quads also, is your rest time in between runs enough

If the pain is in the sides of your lower legs. ( not calf or shin ) then its probably inflamed, go to GP, my son suffered last year to something similar, narproxin I think he had to take and had 5 weeks off rugby, hope this helps.
