Yay - I did it!!!! Completed W9 R3 this morning in the rain - can't say I loved it but by gum I'm proud of myself!
My lovely husband was waiting on the doorstep for me when I got back, with the cat sitting patiently with him, then he (husband, not cat) had the BBC Athletics theme music playing when I came in! He's been a great support - but I couldn't have done it without this amazing online community - in fact I never would have considered it really without reading all your supportive comments before I started.
Thanks so much for your confidence and support everyone!
Now...my main task now is to stop saying to myself 'oh but I'm going too slow'!

You have done brilliantly.... and now deserve to bask in the glory. What a wonderful surprise too.... these chaps... they do have their moments don't they...
I can just see you arriving home as the music played... simply wonderful
You need to rest up and go get that badge that is waiting on the podium...I am sure that all the forum friends will be at the party when they realise you are there already!! Maybe a little treat to yourself today too
Then... take some time to enjoy some runs for pure joy... and think about where this journey is going next.... because... the best bit of all this...?
