Hey Lou! Your ankle bit sounds like mine a while ago. I ignored it and things got a bit messy so maybe you should check it out first? Please see if your trainers are good for your feet, maybe you need insoles, perhaps you should do gait analysis. Week 4 and ice packs aren't the best friends, at least they weren't in my case. I would visit either a physio or a sports specialist, just in case, it could save you a lot of hassle that could come out of an injury. Please keep us posted & all the best!
I went and had my gait done my partner purchased the shoes for me. He used to run years ago. Marathons half marathons etc. He told me about ice packs. Im hoping its because this is all new to me. Plus the female hormones last week. But if it gets worse instead of better. I will get it checked out. 😊
You sound like you're looking after your running legs. Have you tried Tiger Balm for your aches and pains. It's great stuff - really cooling - smells quite "fragrant" so it must be doing good. I'm about to slather some on having done a 11k run this morning. My calves are in need of a little R & R.
I had problems with my Achilles tendons, so I sympathise totally.
Slow and steady does it... and watch those ankles...things should improve and you should not really then, be needing to ice or heat-pack...if they don't ease.. please get checked out!
