Long weekend away

I'm in Nottingham visiting relatives, including my youngest son, and have just discovered there's a Parkrun tomorrow pretty much right on their doorstep πŸ˜€

I haven't run for over a week, as husband is on his holibobs and we've been landscaping the garden, so I brought my running stuff. I only my packed my very tired trainers, though - as space is at a premium when you travel by motorbike - so hopefully this won't be a problem. I did a very gentle 5k this morning, but think I'll be good for tomorrow as well.

SiL has even suggested that they all tag along so they can go for a walk while I run and then all have breakfast out afterwards.

Oh, and as we're going into the city centre this morning, I'm going to check out "Up and Running" as I am in real need of new trail shoes.

Will do!

The trainer shop was a bit of a bust - the brand I particularly went there to try were not right for me πŸ™

Oh well worth a try...

Totally worth a try, and one pair actually felt great on one foot but not on the other - it was catching on the back of my 'good' ankle. If they'd had another pair in my size I would have tried them as well, in case they were slightly different, but they didn't.
