W8R2, found it hard going this morning. Felt tired yesterday, my rest day. Got up, by the time I've put the bins out set up the tech., I should feel better about running. Not really, but I went anyway. Glad I did, because I feel great now! Perhaps going into week nine a two day break between runs would be better.

Glad you feel better after a run! Two rest days is perfectly fine if that's what you need. Just listen to your body on the day you're supposed to run, and if it doesn't feel ready take another day. Better to take extra rest than be injured because you forced it!
Hey boblit my biggest lesson learnt after the fact was that during the later runs I'd have been better taking the extra day of rest. You've been at it for 8 weeks you will be at there or thereabouts 100 km of cumulative running under your belt, so it's not surprising you're not bouncing back quite as quickly. If I had my time again I would have taken 2 days between each of the W8 and 9 runs. Wouldn't work for everyone and despite your feelings you went out. Well done you, podium coming into view...
