Since my Park Run last weekend I've been suffering with a sore knee. I've not been for a run for a week now and I have to say although it's frustrating I am hopeful that I'll be back to running soon - but for now I'm on the IC.
I have sought advice about my knee and I have been advised not to run for another week! I went for a swim this morning instead - swimming is not a favourite past time of mine, the water is too cold for my liking. Anyway the swim went well and am pleased to report that my knee didn't hurt whilst in the pool at all, which I was very relieved about.
I am a bit disappointed as I only graduated 2 weeks ago tomorrow but I know that soon enough I'll be back to my towpath haven with is beautiful trees and wild life - I may have to take a walk down there tomorrow to enjoy it a slower pace.

How very irritating for you that you have a bad knee so soon after graduating. And without being sportist, I'm with you, swimming just isn't the same and yes the water is cold. I suppose you can at least do a gentle walk and think about where you'll go when you're back. Hope your time on the IC is not too long and you get back to happy running again.
Thank you Jancanrun. You've hit the nail on the head- irritating. Being on the IC has made me think about how far I've come in this journey and I'm very proud. I can swim and walk and therefore stay active which was the whole point of me starting C25K. I will hopefully be back within the week but there's no rush - it's more important to make sure it's right and the IC isn't as awful as I first thought 👍
