I wouldn't think so, just giving muscles an extra 24 hours to recover

I was hoping to do W5R3 tomorrow after 2 practice runs but, as life does, things have changed & I might not get out until Friday morning...!! Seems a long way off but another 24 hrs recovery sounds good 👍🏻👍🏻

Not if you need it. I pushed myself a little too hard on Sunday and haven't run since, I might even take another couple of days as I know I will benefit from it in the long run. I would rather have a few extra days than go out with a tired body and risk injury. Take care and don't worry your doing the right thing.

I walked my little dog along my route today & if I'd have had my trainers on I'd have set off running, seemed strange walking it but I def needed 2 days off but 3 seemed a bit much....I'm used to going out every other day...

Hope you feel ready soon...tired body = injury deffo

Thank you, I am Sure I will be soon. One thing I have learnt over the last few years is that if you love running and have to have a break you will always come back to it, it's like a little addiction. 😀

I can see an addiction forming here...I love getting out there...the buzz? There's nothing like it 😊😊😉

Rest up Mummycav life can often get in the way but stay positive and don't give up.... right there with you on Friday 💋

It is absolutely fine to take 3 rest days! I am on enforced Day 4 but hoping to be able to have a little jog tomorrow or Friday. Will have to wait and see how the knee feels. 👟

Nope especially as you are getting closer to podium.... the cumulative effects of the runs start making more demands on your body. Better a day now than enforced injury time off..

I was doing 3 runs a week until plantar fasciitis struck in week 7 and I had to take almost 3 weeks off. I thought I'd lose everything I'd built up and have to go back to an earlier week. When I did venture out I found my stamina was still strong so I kept going. After each run since I've taken at least 5 days rest but tomorrow morning will be w9 r3 and I'm so excited! It's taken me 13 weeks but I'm finally going to graduate.

Yaaay, all done! So don't worry about extra rest days, you'll still get there. I'll follow your progress. Good luck 🤞 xx

3 days is totally ok. Don't even worry about it. In week 1/2 I took a few extra days then for a couple of weeks have done it for 1 day off one day on. Now back to one off one on for 3 runs then 2 rest days. I'm busy next week so prob gonna be more enforced rest days but will be fine.

You take the rest days you need!

I suspect when we start our role as Small runner in training's carers for two days a week, when Little mum goes back to work.. I may be taking a week's worth of rest days!!!!

You rest up.. with a few exercises if you have chance...( Rignold 's squats can be done anywhere!!! )

No, it's fine, that's where c25k is flexible, but I always tried to keep to the 3 runs a week, but now I don't always run 3 times a week, always try and get 2 in though, also get in some X training, spinning on the stat bike 20-30 mins on that is my max as it can be so boring..😊
