I was knackered as I finished today. I have looked at WK 5 and I am sorry but it is too much, run 1 possibly, but 2 and 3 you are having a laugh!

So many of us have thought that - but done it. Don't worry about R3 yet, get R1 and R2 out of the way and then give R3 a go - you'll be amazed!

Why do you say that?

Has the programme not got you this far? Look at your progress, trust the process, believe in yourself and run slowly.

What are you going to do otherwise? Go back to the couch?

Bet you anything I was even more knackered ;)

You can do it - slowly and steadily and at your own pace. 'Practice' days were (and will most likely always be : ) ) totally part and parcel for over 90% of Graduates here in a fairly recent survey we did :)

Forget about the '8' and '5' - just keep on using the programme as your frame to work around and take it...slowly, steadily and at your own pace. :)

There are a lot of happy miles in your future is you stay running with us here - hope you do :)

You can do this mate, as the mantra goes, slow and steady. I'm doing run 3 of week 5 on Thursday, I'm sure it's going to be difficult, but I'll give it a go, hope you continue on this amazing journey. Good luck.

Don't give up...tell yourself I can do this!! I've managed run 1 tonight and if anyone had told me 5 weeks ago I could do 3 lots of 5 minutes I would have they we're mad!!

You can do this!!!

You are right.

W5R3 probably is too much for you. R1 is probably about your limit.

When you have done R1, you will be ready for R2 though, and after you have done that, R3 will be manageable.

That's how progressive overload works.

I also lift weights. Every week the amount I lift Increases, or the number of reps does. What I am lifting this week would not have been possible. What I will be lifting in a months time would be impossible for me now.

Pull your socks up and concentrate on the next run. Not the one after that or the one after that.

A lot of us felt the same and managed it :) maybe build your confidence by repeating week 4 before moving on? You can do it!

Rubbish! Rubbish! Rubbish!! We've all been there daaaaaarling! Get your headphones on, and trust the program. This is what you do - the night before tell yourself "tomorrow I'm going to complete my run no matter what". And you know what? You will. Do it. Be a flippin hero!!!!!

I bet you would of said the same about w4 a couple of weeks ago, but look at you now! Seriously, the programme does work, try not to think beyond the next run, just focus on that for now. You've got this!

So many of us looked at week 5 with great anxiety, but as others have already said, the programme is designed to build up gradually, only giving you what you can do step by step. Take it really slow and steady, and focus on one run at a time, don't worry about what's coming next. And celebrate when you've finished the first run - in here, and give yourself a treat too.

You can do it and I'm sure you will. :-)

No laughing going on here. You can you will and you grin. You may laugh afterwards too....

Thanks for posting that worry as it is the same as mine. I'm on wk 4 run 3 next and can't imagine being able to complete week5 but all the comments on here in response to your post have encouraged me too. So thanks for raising it in the first place. Good luck😁😁

I think most of us freaked out a bit at week 5, I actually thought W5R3 was an error in the app until I read the comments on this forum. I thought there was absolutely no chance I could do it, but somehow, I just kept my legs moving and I got there. You can do it. Trust in the program. So many times I get to the end of a run and think, huh, the people who worked out this program DO know what they are talking about :)
