So today I've felt much better I'm glad I didn't try this run last night. It's weird because it felt tough during it but in the 5 minute cool down I felt like I could've done another interval. But as I found out on here earlier, that's the last interval of the program😬😬
Had to take my daughter to a swim lesson at 5:30, we usually go Saturday mornings. She worked so hard in the bigger pool that when she asked for a McDonalds after it I thought she'd bloody well earned it. Husband met us as he arrived on the bus and he went in so I wasn't tortured. So get home to him eating a cheeseburger in the kitchen (offered me a bite but red see as knew I'd regret it on the run) and Erica eating her well earned nuggets. So off I went to get ready.
Set off on the first ten minute run. Could see a guy ahead of me and was trying to work out how I could pass. Cars and vans parked on the pavement meant it would've been dangerous to go into the road as I couldn't see the traffic. So I decided to say excuse me. Maybe I shouted due to my music, who knows. But he heard me, but you know when you end up doing a little dance as you both go the same way each time? We both saw the funny side. Also had to stop to cross a mini roundabout tonight. I usually time it better but it did stop me for a few seconds but that's not cheating right? Rather that than be squished by a car or three hey? 🚗 🚙🚑🚐
My metre gain was 28 today. So the lower end of my route options but I'm planning the same for run 3. No park run due to s birthday party so run 3 is Sunday and hoping for first PR next Saturday instead 😊
Just towards the end of the cool down I could feel the rain. Looks like a storm coming right behind me.
