Just completed the 3rd day week 1 of C25k! Really pleased to have got this far (although it's really just the start) but anxious to be able to stick to it, get fitter and lose........10kg! Ooh, that looks daunting. Pleased to be able to get out into the lovely countryside!

Hi...you've come to the right place!!!
On here you'll find great advice & tips but most of all you've found the best bunch of people, I like to call them all my running family, who will give you so much encouragement & read your posts with genuine interest & join you on your journey, they have helped me sooooo much!!! happy running & keep posting 😉
Yay well done on completing W1R3 x
Ive just completed week 1 aswell. Hard but enjoyed. Good luck with the rest of it 👍
Hi leoce, well done you on doing the hardest week of all. Running won't exactly help you lose the weight and certainly not in the early weeks as you are doing more walking than running, but it is good conditioning and will help you get fitter and in a good frame of mind and body to tackle the 10kg. Use the forum as your sounding board for help and support, if I remember rightly Mummycav came up with some tips herself for finding milestones within runs to keep going.
If you haven't seen them post already or their answers Oldfloss and IannodaTruffe are the site mentors, anything they say is really useful and helpful on your running journey.
You're no longer a new newbie as you have Week 1 under your belt, doesn't that sound fab?
Well done on completing your first week. I haven't lost any weight just doing the running but have toned up. As others have said you will get plenty of support and good advice on here.

We've both started the same week and going through it together. Know what you mean about daunting.
What I like on here is everyone has been where we are.
Did W1r3 myself today.
May even allow myself 2 beers instead of one.
See you next week at the end of W2 !!
I'm just a week ahead of you and so enjoying this. Great sense of achievement. Week two is a step up from week one, but you've done the work. Your muscles are getting ready for more.
If you find running for the time required hard, then maybe you're going just a little too fast. As those that know will tell you - slow, slow, even slower. It will still get you there.
Have a great Week Two.
