Good for you! I’m a brand new beginner too. I’ve decided to run to lose weight and get fitter. I haven’t run anywhere for years! I start tomorrow.
Omg just did my first one! I am not looking pretty right now! Lol Good luck! If I can do it so can you!
Well done how did you feel after apart from knackered 😂
I felt good actually
Good luck I am following you on here now so I look forward to your next post to see how you have got on.
Awww thank you! I am new to all this so bare with me!
Well done. Be aware the nine weeks takes you to the point where you can run non-stop for thirty minutes but most of us, when we achieved that, weren't yet doing the full 5k because that'd be 6 mins/km which is too fast for most beginners. So if your aspiration is to reach 5k, don't be discouraged because you WILL be able to do it: just be aware that it may take a little longer than nine weeks. You graduate from this programme when you have managed to run continuously for 30 minutes three times - regardless of how far you have run in that time. So don't worry about speed and don't worry YET about the distance you cover - you can work on those things after you graduate because once you can run for thirty minutes, even if it's slowly, then all sorts of things begin to be possible that were impossible before.
I'm planning on starting tomorrow too
Good luck to you Librarose, enjoy your running journey.
