Consecutive runs

Hi can someone tell me if you have to do the runs consecutively? I might do a run one week but not the next? I'm on W4R2. I found the 5 minutes run quite comfortable

Do the runs every other day, always have a rest day...

The point of the programme is to complete every run even if they seem 'easy' as this is building your stamina up and preparing you for the longer runs. Take rest days in between runs otherwise you risk injury by doing too much too soon. All too often we have had posts about people accelerating the programme only to regret it.

It is recommended, for good reason, that you follow the instructions for the plan.

You need to do every run. You need to leave at least one rest day between runs, more if necessary. C25K weeks do not have to coincide with calendar weeks.

Well done you, you're half way through. Don't be tempted to run on consecutive days it can do you a lot of damage as SC1472 has said. if you're finding the runs quite comfortable at this stage, then that bodes well for the future. The 9 Weeks isn't a requirement of the plan, it's an aspiration. Some of us take longer, but if you run every other day you'll do it soon enough. Brilliant that you're half way through though and feeling so positive.
