A new kind of shopping

Looking forward to W1 R3 tomorrow just because I've treated myself to some new running gear. I am now drawn to browsing through the sales in sports shops and online rather than my usual retail outlets and have actually found myself trying to colour coordinate my tops and bottoms to my rather indulgent Brooks Adrenaline GTS 17. I might huff and puff my way through this programme but I am going to at least look the part πŸ€£πŸ˜œπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ

I was trying on trainers the other day and one pair (which I didn't get because they felt wrong) matched the colours of my leggings. When the shop assistant pointed this out, I responded that it was a good excuse to buy some new ones!!!

Huffing and puffing in all the gear, no one else knows it's a huff and puff. The gear fools them into thinking you're a running ninja. And if they think you're a ninja, then so do you, virtuous circle

Be warned, as the autumn approaches you'll then find even more excuse to buy more running gear. Last Autumn and went out and got long leggings (my summer ones are all Capri length or shorts)... and then needed tops to co-ordinate with them... and a jacket for when it got chilly (zip up all the way so I could take it off easily and tie it round my waste once I got too hot)... a shower proof jacket... a thing to keep my ears warm... gloves...

The list is endless, as are the retail therapy opportunities.

And then once you have the stuff it gives you all the more reason to keep on running so that you can show it off (or justify the expense, depending on how you look at it). ;-)

Can't wait for the weather to turn chilly for a change as that very thought had crossed my mind πŸ˜‰ Got my spring/summer gear sorted ... all in the sales I might add....Nice Brooks combo from TK Maxx and adidas set from SportsDirect as determined not to pay full price after my major trainers purchase last week. I'll enjoy browsing longer sleeves and bottoms options in preparation for the Autumn 😜 It's a whole new candy shop 🀣

Oh dear... another addict is with us...great isn't it!

How we change...the excitement of new leggings or new trail shoes :)

I love the running, retail bit.... have not paid full price for any item, and have some of the funkiest gear ever! Last years colours, loud patterns, all mean cash off :)

Periods on the IC are disastrous... not just because we cannot run... but because we have more time to shop for gear for when we are recovered... I love co ordination... love it... when my favourite running outfit wears out I shall be devastated !!!

Check this out...( you don't have to read the post.. just clock the outfit.. I love it) :)

Enjoy your run... steady and slow, so that everyone can admire your new gear :)
