W4R2 and a bit of a dodgy ankle

Feeling quite proud of myself having got to this point. Only challenge is I have had a pain in my ankle/side of foot. Last night I ran through it but wonder if I should be doing anything to avoid making it worse?

I am leaving a rest day between runs.

Are you wearing proper running shoes fitted after a gait analysis done at a specialist running shop? If not, your shoes may well be contributing to the problem.

Runner's first aid is based on R.I.C.E ,Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation, as mentioned in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Hi - my running shoes were bought years ago (and hardly used - thus the reason for C25k).

I have looked up somewhere who will assess and fit new ones - will go in next couple of days. Thanks for suggestion

No pain no gain!

I've had a similar issue since the longer runs. Everyone- on here & experienced runners at work have all said that it's prob my shoes. I'm monitoring it & will see how it goes. I hope yours gets better.

Not what you're looking for?
