This will have been my last run this year in this glorious place in all probability, as I have used up all my leave and will be back on Rome today, back in work again tomorrow. At least I will have this to look forward again next year! It has certainly made me realise how punishing Roman cobbles are.

Helene I missed this yesterday, oh how to swap this cool cool blue, for the punishing heat of Rome in summer...? Well done you on staying committed despite the hot cobbles
Thank you! I really enjoyed running there, partly for the nice smooth road and also that lovely open blue sky and the sea that seemed to keep me company. I kept going along the road until I'd finished, then walked the coastal paths back home (which meant lots of scrambling up and down rocks, a lot of fun). Followed it up with a quick costume change and dip in the sea. The very best bit of all was finding my lazybones family still asleep at home after all that, so I was even able to shower, dress and go out for a seafront cappuccino by myself. It was heavenly.
Will have to make do with the cobbles for now *sigh*
Me time is a wonderful invention. Take care on the cobbles
