I have run 5 k on treadmill , been running on treadmill for few months, went on road for 1st time today and struggling to run 2 miles at slower speed? Anyone know if it's harder to run on road. I'm very disappointed!! 😐

yes, it is an entirely different thing. As trail running is from road running. or fell running from trail running. Or pool swimming from open water swimming. They're all good but all different. 2 miles is a great first outdoor venture. Dont be dismayed.

Hello

Very different tread mill to out doors.. I love road running and trail adventures but treadmills bore me to death.. I must be too nosey not enough going on.. lol

Enjoy the outdoors.

I really like both, outdoors is definitely more taxing but I do enjoy switching off and putting some music on while on the treadmill or doing a 5K run while tuned into a work conference call in the laptop... I usually put the treadmill on a slight incline which I find is harder for me than a mixed surface parkrun for example, the treadmill is just another tool in the running arsenal for me although I'm joining a gym which has access to a running track so will be trying that as well.

Running track - when out latest Parkrun course flooded we were resigned to doing Parkrun on our local running track - first time so many PBs of people who lost count of their laps and counted short!
