Well done for starting. Honestly, you've done the hardest bit.

This forum is a great place to come when you have doubts or achievements - you will always be supported through any difficulties.

Keep this first post on hand for a reminder when you complete Week 9. You'll look back in wonder!

Relax you will get there. 1 minute is soooooo much better than none. To be honest right now I can tell you I am probably far less fit than you.

Well done for starting. Sounds as though you are exactly the type of person the programme was designed for. You don't need to believe just yet, but you do need to commit to the programme and trust each run will get you further along the path to building your stamina. You ran for a minute no less than 8 times with constant walking between. You've done the hard bit and started. You've got this 🏃

Every run I think, I can't go another step, then every week I do. I've just finished Week 7 run 1 and cannot believe how well this programme works. Good luck.

Ohhhhh you will. I took a group in work through the c25k. A guy who weighed 18 stone has just completed his first park run....and he smokes.

It works... trust it.

Well done for starting, believe in the programme and more importantly in yourself and one day in the not too distant future you will look back at this post and think 1 minute was an absolute giggle. The views help too.... good luck next time out and happy running

You can do this! Just take it one run at a time, one step at a time, slow and steady. We're all here rooting for you. Good luck!

First steps on a life changing journey........... congratulations!

Remember, always take at least one rest day between runs. Go as slow as you need to. Should you not complete a run, simply repeat it after a rest day, building your stamina and fitness, until you complete it, then move on.

You can only fail this programme by going back to the couch.

Enjoy this, never see it as a chore, and you WILL run for thirty minutes......... honestly!

I felt the same. No way would I get to the end of the programme I thought, but I'd give it a go and see how long I'd last. I start week 8 tomorrow. I've had good days and bad days and taken extra rest days when needed. Just trust in the programme and the support from this forum. You will do this :)

Well done on run 2. I started on run 1 today and I'm physically shaking. Well done and keep it up 👍🏼

Oh had its not just me. My legs were like jelly and I ran around the park on total flat ground. May venture out in week 2/3! Good luck for your next run.

I think we all felt the same but this programme really does work. Don't look too far ahead, just do the next run, then the next. Take it slowly and rest between runs. The first is probably the hardest.
