Congratulations on starting C25K and welcome to the forum, good luck to you for the next 9 weeks when you can run a 5K parkrun with your wife, most people start running a parkrun after they have ran run 3 of week 5, however, if you wish to run one sooner, that is OK. 😊 🏃

Good luck! My top tip - your brisk walk can be faster than your run! Mistake I made was sorta naturally going into a run faster than the walking sections - mistake! Got puffed out waaay too soon! Nice and slow and you’ll be fine!

Welcome and well done.. Please do check out this post for Newbies..it is essential reading...:)

Slow and steady is the mantra, ( and that cycling is going to help as some of your rest day non impact exercise:)

Park run, wait until at least Week 6 and the longer runs before trying it.. it can be a temptation to push too hard and there is a risk of injury :)

Take it gently... enjoy the runs and keep posting too for great support and advice:)

Looking forward to your posts:)

I did my first on this afternoon and I also cycle. It's a bit of a shock to the system but it's easily doable just don't rush it.

Shaun, great to here that - my wife and I have just started and despite having done nothing properly sporty for years, we’re both hooked! You’ll be impressed how it moves on week by week and if it doesn’t, just repeat the week again. So many stories from so many who this has worked for! I’m starting W4R1 tomorrow morning!
