W7R3 with Jo wasn't too bad and when she said I had a minute to go I was in a rhythm and thought that I could go another minute or so. This was a great start for W8R1, after all how hard could an extra 3 minutes be? I set off confidently with Mr Smooth as I thought he needed a change (Jancanrun has been hogging his attention). Well - JCR, you can keep him as far as I'm concerned as W8R1 was hard, really hard. Which leads me to my cunning plan for W8R2 this weekend. I am going to go back to Jo, tell her it's W7R3 and when she says I've got a minute left, I'll surprise her by running for 4 minutes, not 1. Cunning, eh?
I have a cunning plan: W7R3 with Jo wasn't too... - Couch to 5K
I have a cunning plan
Love a plan!
Brilliant..... these ploys do work...
Haha, good for you. By the way I do worry about JCR and Mr Smooth, they seem far too close
Totally agree. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing. Getting ready to go out with Jo, wish us luck!!
Now hey ho, me and Mr Smooth, I am (on the advice of many forum members), weaning myself off him. I too did W8R1 - holy sh.., me and Mr Smooth, well it wasn't plain sailing today, I can assure you...
But love the cunning plan idea, I may need that for R2
Great idea
So much if this running is a mind thing. I do circuits of the Park. Four and a bit gives me 5k.
It is spooky how much easier my run is when I count down the laps instead of counting them up
Wishing you many happy miles in your future 61t
It sounds rediculous but it's the 12.5 minutes being half way. Getting there isn't too bad and then it's countdown; not too long before I'm in single figures. It just feels easier to add minutes on the end!
