Up to now my 64 year old overweight body has moaned and groaned and the aches and pains have shifted first week when bizarrely it was my neck and shoulder that ached, then my heels and ankles, then insides of my thighs, then heels and earlier this week my left calf. But through all that I've finished each session saying to myself "I can do this" with a degree of smugness. That was until yesterday evening W4 D2, I dragged myself round, legs like lead and felt like I was dragging a bus. For the first time I actually said to myself " I really don't think I can do this" no specific pains just a 64 year old fat body that just didn't want to go.
One of the highlights was when I was shuffling along side an Asian lady in the park who was pushing her pram, this shows how slow I was going we were able to chat. Clearly amused by our sluggish train of weasing joggers I invited her to join us. She told me she had had the baby just four weeks ago. I passed her and then heard tip tap, tip tap, tip tap glanced over my shoulder and still pushing her pram and dressed in her full traditional costume she was jogging along with us. A gentleman who was playing with some children on the grass, presumably her husband shouted in disbelief "what are you doing" she pretty much ignored him and kept jogging.
In not sure whether she was inspired by our efforts or whether looking at me she recognised I was on the brink of collapse. Either way it all seemed quite bizarre but did lift my spirits.
Well back to business, It's D3 tomorrow morning and I need a serious boost to get me through that so wish me luck.
So I have to make up my characters to fit the people I see, whereas you adopt real people or in this case maybe she adopted you.... W4 is halfway through this programme, so of course it's tough. Come on us Northerners have grit, black pudding and flat caps. With those behind you, you can't go wrong. Mr S if a lady in heels and a pram could join in and help you get through, just think what this wonderful forum can do. Positive vibes from Italy. Eckythump and buona fortuna

Sorry, I cringed when I sent it. I also forgot to mention we dined out on Wednesday and on the tapas menu was black pudding in tempura. Who says we haven't moved on?

Hey in Spain it's morcilla and very chichi. It just takes the rest of the world a long time to catch up.
