W3r1 in the bag, feeling chuffed to bits

After a reoccurrence of my dreaded foot injury plantar fasciitis, my doctor advised me to not run for a couple months and gave me lots of exercises to do to help the healing process. Finally I feel as if I'm on my way.

Rio (my dog) and I have been running around my local park together for the last couple of weeks. He has been enjoying it just as much as me. Each day I've noticed my stamina improve and so far my left heel is behaving itself.

Looking forward to our next run on Tuesday.

Welcome back to running health. Keeping fingers crossed your problem doesn't return. Running with the dog sounds such fun

It is really good fun. He is such a good boy. One of these days I'll put a pedometer on him to see just how far he has run. As I'm slower than him he runs ahead of me for a while then runs back to me. I like to think he's encouraging me to keep going. Then he runs ahead again and comes back to pick me up again. We make a great team.

Teamwork always does it and makes life that bit easier... the pedometer would be interesting too, except you may be tempted to keep up his pace and distance. And as Oldfloss would say that would be neither slow nor steady...

Hope upcoming runs are okay for you

Thanks, under strict doctors orders. Definitely slow and steady all the way.
