Found the start of week4 a bit tough as all of it was along an up hill gradient, with 5 minute walk down the gradient. Maybe Friday, I will do it on the flat. Or am I cheating myself ?

It's not cheating it's just different. But if your usual route is hilly then maybe the hilly bit is helpful if hard. Whatever you choose, good luck next time out

Thanks for your support.

I kept it as flat as possible until about week 7. Even now there are steep slopes near me I couldn't run up.

Thanks. I live in a fairly hilly area. There are some flat area's close by. I'll do my next run their I think.

Embrace the flat:) Hills can be useful, but there will be time for hills later :)

Well done you!

I have varied my routes so that I'm mostly running along flat ground. It's not cheating yourself, you can always move up to a hillier route in the future once your fitness has progressed. Good luck.

Well done. I don't think you are cheating at all. I'm no expert as only on week 3 but why beat yourself up about running on a flatter terrain? You're supposed to build strength and stamina as you go along and enjoy it. Keep going, save the hill running for later 😊
