I am in my 8th decade, and into my third week of c25k. Being lucky enough to being in reasonably good health, I am finding to going quite easy so far and feeling the benefits already.
I am new here.: I am in my 8th decade, and into... - Couch to 5K
I am new here.
Well done boblit. I enjoyed it to and didnt find it too difficult once I settled down to it. I started in May this year. Not got quite as many decades having only 6. Today I ran 8.5k and although tired now its another achievement and I'm a happy bunny😁🐇
I take my hat off to you. Keep it up. I'm in the second week so just behind you.
How fabulous... huge well done to you
Well done - good luck for the rest of the programme.
Wow! You make me feel like a mere youth! I started last December age 71, took several months to finally get to the end, have now joined a local running club and still try to get out 3 times a week for a run (slow jog!). You and I are very lucky to be able to do this at our ages so make the most of it, as I am trying to do. I have found my local running club super friendly and welcoming even to an oldie (the oldest member is your age) and I have now also done 6 Saturday morning Parkruns. I'm a very slow Parkrunner but no-one minds, and even though I am near the back there are always people there to cheer me past the finishing post. Look at posts on this forum by Oldfloss - she tells everyone to go slow and steady, listen to her advice and more importantly listen to your body. Enjoy the journey and keep posting.
Respect to you Boblit. Good luck and happy jogging
Good on you as others have said listen to Oldfloss and enjoy the experience
