Hello, I am new here

I recently found your group when I was looking for advice on Couch to 5k. This is the first time I have attempted anything like this and I have been using the NHS podcasts since Easter. I have just completed week 6, run 2 this morning, in a hotel gym of all places (this would never have happened before the programme l!). I have a lot of respect for those of you who do your training on a treadmill— I normally run outside and it felt so much harder on the treadmill than it feels outside. My goal is to be able to complete a 5k fun run in December, so I hope I can keep it up!

I just wanted to thank everyone for their advice on here— it certainly helped me with week 5, run 3 (why I found this site) & prepared me for week 6, run 1!

Welcome! Hope you stick around for more advice, fun stories and to share your progress and success. Even the bad runs get a mention on here :-)

You got to week 6 on your own! Well done! I hope you stick around for the next three weeks and tell us how it’s going :)

Good luck and keep running x

Hi Garrieunicorn, sounds like you are doing brilliantly.😊

Welcome to the forum, keep posting so we can cheer you on to Graduation!

Good luck going forward. I’m on the same week as you so would be great to hear how you are getting on. 😊

Hi, I'm at the same point as yourself. Next run looks challenging, but I feel up to it as have enjoyed it so far.

Funny you should say that you found it more difficult on a treadmill as I thought the opposite. I even felt like I had cheated a bit when I done my 20 min run on treadmill.

It just goes to show, that we're all different, but have a common goal.

Good luck with the rest of your journey
