I signed up to do a 5k for charity. It's on Saturday. Eek! I'm not quite there on the couch to 5k. I ran W7R2 this morn, and did 4.44km. Should I do another run before the 5k on Saturday or take 2 rest days?

Advice!
If you run again before the race it will result in missing a rest day at some point.........so no, don't run until Saturday. Keep moving though, walking is great!
At the event do not be tempted to set off too fast. I would do your warm up walk from the start line, run your 25 mins and then walk again. Enjoy 😃
Take the rest days.
This may come to you as a shocking statement but you are only 0.5km short.
In all seriousness though, if you look at any training plan for a race, the full race distance isn't done in training. For our 10k runs the longest run we do is 8.5km, for 13.1 miles the longest training ruin is 12miles.
The atmosphere and other people around you will carry you through on the day. Relax, have a few days rest and enjoy your 5k!
You'll be fine for the charity run, just run/walk it, you could incorporate your c25k run on it if practicable and if allowed to use earphones on that run, but, doesn't matter just do the event, have the 2 restdays till then and get back on c25k on Monday.. enjoy the event!😊
Rest days... and slow and steady...walk to keep everything going, and take the lovely Millsie-J says, warm up walk, then run 25 minutes, gently and enjoy!!!
As others have said, take the rest days.......you then just might surprise yourself.......slow and steady and enjoy!

Thanks for your advice! I was quite easily persuaded to do 2 rest days! I will however walk the course tomorrow to familiarise myself with it. I'll let you know how I get on!
